The Non-Formal school was established in 1972 to offer basic education and vocational skills to children from very vulnerable households in Pumwani community and those rehabilitated from the streets. We enroll children with 9 years and above . Before standard eight was introduced in 2010, classes were from Standard One to Seven .
The school offers a non formal curriculum that was developed in 1995, with the support of Kenya Institute of Education. However, in March 2011 the school adopted a formal curriculum for primary schools in Kenya while maintaining the NFE aspect of skills development in Art & Craft, metal work and home science.
